- Activate and regularly check your university email. Use it as the official means of communication with faculty members and your academic advisor. You are responsible for staying informed about important announcements.
- In case of an academic complaint regarding a course or instructor: approach the course instructor first, then if unresolved, contact the academic advisor and complete the Academic Guidance Form.
- Maintain cleanliness in classrooms and laboratories.
- Turn off devices after use.
- Adhere to the dress code in the department's laboratories and clinics. Refer to the Student Guide for Optometry Clinics and Laboratories.
- Find your academic advisor's information on the Online Academic System Portal and communicate via your university email.
- If you encounter issues reaching your advisor, contact the department directly at OPTO@KSU.EDU.SA.
- Check the academic schedule on the academic portal at the beginning of each registration period. Schedules for students who do not check within the first week will be deleted.
- Adhere to your registered courses. If you need to add or drop courses, consult your academic advisor during the first academic week.
- Use the electronic portal for schedule changes during the specified periods based on your university ID.
- If unable to change via the portal, submit an electronic schedule change request through the "Samer" system during the specified periods.
- If still unable, contact your academic advisor or the department registrar.
- Attend lectures from the first academic day.
- Absences exceeding 25% of total course lectures may result in being prohibited from taking the final exam.
- Inform your academic advisor of any exam schedule conflicts within one week of the schedule announcement.
- Notify the course instructor and academic advisor within 3 to 4 working days of missing a midterm or final exam, and provide a valid excuse for consideration by the relevant committee.
