The Respiratory Therapy Program seeks to instill principles of social responsibility among students and program affiliates by supporting and enabling their participation in various awareness and community activities and events. The specialized Respiratory Therapy clinics within the College of Applied Medical Sciences represent a core educational and training pillar that supports the preparation of students with advanced clinical competencies in a safe and realistic healthcare environment.

The laboratories within the Respiratory Therapy Program represent key educational components in preparing and qualifying respiratory therapists with high levels of competence and skill. They serve as the primary link between theoretical scientific knowledge and practical application.

In response to rapid developments across various health fields and the growing demand for respiratory care specialists, the Respiratory Therapy Program was established within the Department of Rehabilitation Health Sciences, College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud University, in 2008.

The program aims to support the healthcare sector and the community by preparing and graduating qualified respiratory therapists to work in clinical and academic settings and to provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across all age groups
