Master of Physical Therapy

Study Plan

1. RHS 501 : FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY (2 Cr.): 
Advanced study in the anatomy of the locomotors, nervous, circulatory, and respiratory system. Applied study to recognize the anatomical relation between these systems .
It is also an applied study of the different body systems from the stages of growth and development of these part . 

2. RHS 502 : RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND STATISTICS (2 Cr.): 
Study of the different methods of research methodology and different curricula of scientific inquiry . Knowledge of the used steps in conducting different investigation i.e. how to state the problem and the different steps to solve the problem , how to determine research objectives , how to collect data and analyze it by studying the different statistical methods .

3. RHS 503 : TESTS AND MEASUREMENTS (2 Cr.): 
Study of the tests and measurements which could be used in the field of physical therapy to determine the different functions to know what is normal or abnormal . In addition to that an applied study to develop the skills for the process of evaluation in different cases of disability .

4. RHS 504 : EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY (3 Cr.): 
Advanced study of the functional relationships for the different systems . And the study of the different exercises whether passive or active for upper and lower extremities on functions and different reactions of body systems . And the hormonal response to different exercises with practical applications for studying the effect of exercises .

5. RHS 505 : RESEARCH SEMINARS (2 Cr.): 
Description of evaluation and the methods to solve problems. Development of short and long term goals. The use of physical therapy procedures through preparation of research proposal in one of the physical therapy specialties.

6. RHS 506 : PSYCHOLOGY AND SOCIAL REHABILITATION (2 Cr.): 
Study of different theories of human behavior and the factors which help in the formation of personality. And a study of the reactions between persons and their reactions in facing the different situations. Relationship between the human being and the family and society and the stages of growth and development of personality. In addition to that, recognition of psychology theories of the patients who suffer from damage or disability or handicap. Study of the psychological and behavioral deviations and psychology of the abnormal and methods of evaluation and development of the special skills for their psychological rehabilitation.

7. RHS 507 : BIOMECHANICS (2 Cr.): 
Advanced study in kinesiology of the different parts of the locomotors system and the physical laws related to it. Recognizing the factors which affect the locomotors system during static and dynamic state with practical applications on the locomotors system with mechanical analysis.

8. RHS 508 : PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS I. (3 Cr.): 
Advanced study in neuroanatomy and neurophysiology with emphasis on the role of physical therapy in rehabilitation procedures of the neurological injuries through applied study.

9. RHS 509 : PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS II. (3 Cr.): 
Advanced applied study in the evaluative procedures, treatment and follow-up of the neurological diseases with emphasis on the different therapeutic directions. Preparing research and discussing it in one of these direction.

10. RHS 510 : PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS III. (3 Cr.): 
Advancement in the field of clinical knowledge with the application of the evaluative processes and therapeutic plans on the neurological cases (acute / chronic) or produced by congenital and developmental disorders. This includes the rehabilitation processes including the use of orthotics and prosthetics with preparation of research (case study) from the physiotherapy point of view.

11. RHS 511 : PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPY I. (3 Cr.): 
Advanced applied study of the evaluation processes and physical therapy methods in acute pediatric cases. Congenital and developmental disorders are also studied.

12. RHS 512 : PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPY II. (3 Cr.): 
Advanced applied study of the role of physical therapy in rehabilitation processes of chronic pediatric cases with emphasis on current trends of therapeutic plans. Preparing research in one of these trends.

13. RHS 513 : PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPY III. (3 Cr.): 
Clinical study for the application of evaluation processes and therapeutic plans for pediatric cases including the rehabilitation processes with preparing research (case study) from physical point of view.

14. RHS 514 : PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR CARDIOPULMONARY CONDITIONS I. (3 Cr.): 
Advanced applied study in the evaluation processes and physical therapy methods for the acute cases of the cardiopulmonary disease. 

15. RHS 515 : PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR CARDIOPULMONARY CONDITIONS II. (3 Cr.): 
Advanced applied study of physical therapy role in rehabilitation of chronic conditions of heart, chest and vascular disease. Emphasis on different therapeutic trends, preparing research and discussing it in one of these therapeutic trends. 

16. RHS 516 : PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR CARDIOPULMONARY CONDITIONS III.(3 Cr.): 
Clinical study for application of the evaluation processes and therapeutic plans in chronic conditions of the cardiopulmonary disease. This includes rehabilitation processes with preparation of research including case study from physiotherapy point of view. 

17. RHS 517 : PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR ORTHOPAEDIC CONDITIONS I. (3 Cr.): 
Advanced applied study in the evaluation processes and physical therapy methods of traumatology. Stating the treatment objectives and how to treat the patients with different therapeutic means.

18. RHS 518 : PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR ORTHOPAEDIC CONDITIONS II. (3 Cr.): 
Advanced applied study for physical therapy role in rehabilitation of chronic conditions in orthopaedics. This includes the use of orthotics and prosthetics with preparation of research in one of these therapeutic directions concerned with such cases.

19. RHS 519 : PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR ORTHOPAEDIC CONDITIONS III. (3 Cr.): 
Advancement in the field of clinical knowledge for the evaluation processes and the application of different therapeutic programs for orthopaedic cases including spinal injuries and disease. Preparing of research (case study) from physiotherapy point of view.

20. RHS 520 : PHYSICAL THERAPY IN GERIATRICS I. (3 Cr.): 
Advanced study in the changes associated with senility plus applications on the evaluation processes in geriatrics and physical therapy methods in these cases.

21. RHS 521 : PHYSICAL THERAPY IN GERIATRICS II. (3 Cr.): 
Advanced applied study for physical therapy role in rehabilitation of geriatrics who have disability or handicap with emphasis on current trends and advanced therapeutic methods. Preparation of research project including one of these trends is required.

22. RHS 522 : PHYSICAL THERAPY IN GERIATRICS III. (3 Cr.): 
Clinical study for application of evaluation processes and different therapeutic plans in geriatrics. Reviewing recent literature and preparation of research including case study from physiotherapy point of view.
