The department provides an integrated teaching and research environment with specialized laboratories equipped with modern instruments and technologies in biochemistry, microbiology, hematology, molecular sciences, and histology, supervised by specialist faculty members.
Laboratories by Specialty
All teaching and learning sites in the department have modern facilities and equipment, ranging from general laboratory instruments such as centrifuges, microscopes, and incubators to specialized equipment such as UV plate readers, Luminex instruments, and polymerase chain reaction technologies.
Practical training in isolating and classifying pathogenic microorganisms, culture methods, laboratory diagnosis, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
Study of blood components and disorders, counting techniques, and microscopic examination of blood samples, alongside the principles of transfusion and blood banking.
Biochemical analysis of body fluids using UV plate readers, Luminex instruments, and modern analytical techniques.
Nucleic acid techniques, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and molecular diagnosis of genetic and infectious diseases.

Research Laboratories
The research laboratories were established as a separate unit to support faculty and students in scientific research. They are equipped for basic and advanced research in biochemistry, immunology, microbiology, and molecular biology, alongside a growing cell culture unit.
