About the Society
Clinical laboratory sciences are one of the most important medical specialties, where the practice of medicine and disease diagnosis integrates with precise laboratory analyses of pathological samples to detect abnormal changes in the body through various laboratory settings. This advanced science encompasses several related fields, including clinical pathology, biochemistry, medical microbiology—which also includes immunology and virology—mycology, entomology, epidemiology of infectious diseases, hematology, blood immunology, histocytology, pathophysiology, and medical genetics.
Recognizing the importance of this specialty, the Saudi Society for Clinical Laboratory Sciences was established as part of the state's commitment to the interests of citizens and residents, affirming the influential role of specialists in this precise and advanced profession.

Six Main Objectives
◆Elevate the scientific and technical level of practitioners in the specialty through continuous education.
◆Establish sound standards and regulations for practicing the profession and provide scientific advice within the specialty.
