Introduction

1. Date Created:
The College of Medical Applied Sciences was established in 1398. The College started with seven academic departments. The College offered fourteen specialized bachelor's degree is in the area of diagnostic, preventive and rehabilitative and administrative areas. With the growth of the College and its evolution and complexity of the various specializations and increased numbers of faculty members, researchers and professionals in the different disciplines and various departments of the College there was a need for a center of academic and scientific research. Thus the Research Center of the College of Medical Science was established in 1403 H.

 

2. The Objectives of the Research Center:
  • Facilitate scientific research and the dissemination of information and knowledge that could help medical science specialists in raising the level of health care in the Kingdom.
  • Maintain a high level of research through systematic effort.
  • Support the development requirements of the College faculty members and at the same time create the appropriate atmosphere and conditions appropriate for the cultural traditions of the Kingdom and its inhabitants.
  • Develop and improve or renew knowledge and skills of workers in the medical applied sciences in order to improve and upgrade health care in the Kingdom.
  • Facilitate the research in and the improvement of health level of citizens.
  • Organize, coordinate and carry out research of interest to the Kingdom and the region.
  • Cooperate with government institutions and others to evaluate the planning and implementation of research activities.
  • Provide advisory services in the area of research and development to government institutions.
  • Develop and facilitate the development programs for faculty members and benchmark of the College of Medical Applied Sciences, as well as health workers in the Kingdom.
  • Organize, coordinate and conduct development activities at the local and national levels and the region in general.
  • Cooperate with government institutions and others to evaluate the planning and implementation of development activities.
  • Disseminate information illustrating the Center's activities in the various fields of research through the publication of scientific reports and flyers and scientific lectures.
