It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Department of Community Health Sciences, one of the most distinguished departments within the College of Applied Medical Sciences at King Saud University. Established in 1400H (1980G), the department takes pride in its esteemed faculty members, including professors, associate professors, and assistant professors from prestigious universities worldwide. These dedicated professionals work diligently to realize the vision of our wise leadership in advancing health education and clinical nutrition, contributing to the development and prosperity of our beloved Kingdom.
The department offers six programs: two at the undergraduate level and four at the postgraduate level, covering various specialized tracks.
Our mission in the Department of Community Health Sciences is to contribute to enhancing the quality of higher education and to conduct impactful, high-caliber scientific research that aligns with the goals of the college, university, and Vision 2030 of our Kingdom. As the Head of the Department, my personal objective is to elevate the department’s standing across all fields and to enhance the educational experience for our students. This involves equipping them with essential knowledge and a diverse range of practical and theoretical skills across the department's disciplines, enabling them to unlock their potential and maximize their capabilities. Our aim is to prepare them to enter the workforce with high competence and exceptional skills, making meaningful contributions to the growth and development of our cherished nation.
