Graduation requirement
The CLN-MSc program is structured to offer two-degree options: Thesis and Non-thesis. Each incorporates distinct requirements.
Thesis Option
Credit hours completion: A total of 31 credit hours must be completed. This includes 25 credit hours of coursework and a 6-credit-hour thesis (CHS 600).
Thesis and defense: A Thesis is required, which must be prepared based on an approved research proposal (CHS 596). The Thesis is evaluated on its contribution to the field of clinical nutrition and its demonstration of the student's ability to conduct original research.
Thesis submission and clearance: Upon successful defense, electronic copies of the thesis must be submitted through the Approval of Graduation Requests Portal and Approval for Thesis Portal. Departmental and college-level clearance is required to finalize the process.
Non-Thesis Option
Credit Hours Completion: A total of 31 credit hours must be completed, which includes coursework and a research project (CHS 599).
Research Project: Students are required to undertake a research project addressing practical problems in clinical nutrition. A project may include literature reviews, surveys, or other research methodologies. The final project report is submitted for review by a faculty supervisor or a committee appointed by the Department of CHS.
Submission and Clearance: Required documents, including the research project report and clearance forms, must be submitted through the Approval of Graduation Requests Portal. Final clearance from the department and college is mandatory.
